Autori in città is a cultural festival dedicated to picture books, illustration and storytelling that transforms Padua into a vibrant meeting place every September, bringing together those who create picture books, those who love them and those who use them in their work.
Exhibitions throughout the city, book signings, activities, workshops, portfolio reviews, seminars for teachers and care professionals and, finally, the major Illustrated Book Fair in Piazza Eremitani.

The Autori in Città festival welcomes illustrators with widely diverse voices, techniques and backgrounds, united by a passion for visual storytelling. In September, they will come to Padua to bring the city’s venues to life with solo exhibitions, share their creative processes in workshops and portfolio review sessions, and engage with professionals, students, teachers and everyone who loves picture books.
Venues
Autori in città is a citywide festival: everything comes to life in independent bookshops, exhibition spaces, the Teatro Verdi, the University of Padua, the Civic Library, Cinema Lux, and the city’s gardens and squares.
